Oakland University is seeking quotes for a high tunnel base hoop house for the campus student organic
farm. The awarded vendor will be required to oversee the installation with the involvement of
university students and volunteers (community build).
Specifications
1) (1) 30 x 72 High Tunnel Base with:
Galvanized steel ground posts, bows, purlins and wind braces
Cross-brace package - heavy duty, double gusseted truss assembly, every bow
Double-layer inflated poly cover - UV stabilized 6 mil 4-year clear over IRAC
Wind bracing Steel-framed end walls:
o Heavy duty 1.5" square steel assemblies, laid out to accommodate ventilation and
door openings
o (2) 8'x8' equipment access doors in center of each endwall
o (2) 3'x4' ventilation louvers (one at each endwall)
Ventilation louver thermostatic motorized control system
o Hinged door - (1) 3' x 6'8" foam core solid entry door with latch set
o Reinforced 11-mil endwall and side-curtain covers
o Automatic side curtains - durable reinforced 11-mil poly with roll-bar pocket, baffled
