The Work of the project consists of the complete removal and re-roofing of the North Penn High School Gymnasium Roof ONLY as delineated on the contract drawings. The general scope of the work includes the removal of all roofing assembly materials, blocking, insulation and roofing accessories; removal of existing skylights; and installation of new wood blocking, insulation, roofing products and roofing accessories, as well as infill of existing skylight openings with metal decking. The scope of work also includes the removal and replacement of all roof drains. Contractors are invited to submit SEALED BIDS for the bidding of the construction of the Roof Replacement: Gymnasium Roof ONLY at North Penn High School in North Penn School District. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any or all irregularities, mistakes, omissions or informalities relative thereto. The date and time for the submittals of questions and for the submittal of bids as set forth in the Contract Documents shall be deemed mandatory. The failure to meet all submittal dates as set forth shall constitute a defect in the bid submission, which shall be grounds for rejection of the bid as nonresponsive. The failure to meet any submittal dates shall not be considered a waivable irregularity omission or informality. Bidder's proposals must be accompanied by either a certified check, certified bank treasurer's check, bank cashier's check, or bid bond in the form provided. A satisfactory corporate surety shall provide security in an amount equal to 10% of the base bid. The surety shall name as payee or obligee the North Penn School District.
