Maintenance Works will be conducted on the Woodbury Forest Service Road from 0.0-11.24 Km. The works include, but are not limited to: brush pulling, ditching, culvert intake/outlet clean out, minor slump repairs, culvert replacement and armouring (Max. 5), snag/woody debris/rock ravel removal (end haul), bucking out of leaners, bridge no post installation on 2 bridges, bridge and road sign replacement, landslide and avalanche debris removal. All required materials (i.e. culverts, lock blocks, no-posts, signs, sign posts) to be supplied by the Ministry of Forests. Contractor will be required to haul the materials and place them under this contract. Pick up of sign material and culverts will be at the Kootenay Lake 4-Mile Office in Nelson. No Post materials (8 bullnoses, 8 tapers, 8 regular) will need to be hauled to the Woodbury site from Salmo MOF storage compound. Most works planned for this contract can be performed by one excavator, one swamper and a dump truck/trailer combination. End haul of waste material is required between 2.0-4.5 KM in the canyon section. Waste area for this section is at 2.0 Km.
