This solicitation is restricted, FOB Destination, deliveries will be made according to the supplied schedule to the Federal Correctional Institution, 1101 John A Denie Road, Memphis, TN 38134. The contract type is a firm-fixed price. The NAICS code for this solicitation is 238220 and is restricted to Total Small Business. The Government will award to the responsible offeror(s) whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, that are considered to be most advantageous to the Government, with past performance and price considered, prices being rated higher than past performance. By submission of an offer, the contractor acknowledges the requirements that a prospective awardee must be registered in the System for Award Management, (SAM), database prior to award. The anticipated award date is May 5, 2024. The contractor will provide labor, equipment and materials needed to complete project.The work includes, but is not limited to the following: 1. The contractors work will begin at a 6" flange above the concrete floor inside the mechanical room.2. The contractor will install a new double check backflow preventer and a wet-pipe automatic fire sprinkler system riser in the mechanical room. The riser will include a main drain and water flow switch. 3. Sprinkler protection will be based on light hazard occupancy of 5416 sq. ft. in accordance with NFPA 13. Sprinkler piping will be installed above the ceiling supplying semi-recessed pendent sprinklers below. 4. Extend piping from the wet system and install dry horizontal sidewall sprinklers were shown on drawing FS2.1. 5. Install a fire department connection (FDC) at the location shown on drawing FS2.1 6. Install sway braces, retainer straps, and flexible couplings to protect the system piping from damage due to earthquakes in accordance with NFPA 13. 7. Test all new fire sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA13.
