Purpose of Procurement The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools and equipment to perform all the Work shown on the drawings and called for in the specifications entitled Westcott Hall Roof Replacement, as prepared by AP Ward Consulting, who is referred to in the Bidding Documents as the Design Professional. It is the intent and it is hereby agreed that the Contractor shall perform all work covered by the Contract Documents. Dalton State College is seeking bids for the replacement of the roof on the Westcott Hall building located on the Dalton State College main campus. A performance bond, bid bond, and contractor affidavit will be required by the potential awarded supplier prior to the contract being awarded. Overview of the eRFQ Process The objective of the eRFQ is to select one or more qualified suppliers to provide the goods and/or services outlined in this eRFQ to the State Entity. This eRFQ process will be conducted to gather and evaluate responses from supplier for potential award. All qualified suppliers are invited to participate by submitting responses, as further defined below. After evaluating all suppliers responses received prior to the closing date of this eRFQ and resolution of any contract exceptions, the preliminary results of the eRFQ process will be publicly announced, including the names of all participating suppliers and the evaluation results. Subject to the protest process, final contract award(s) will be publicly announced thereafter. Dalton State College is seeking quotes for the replacement of the roof on Westcott Hall on the Dalton State College Campus. All inquiries regarding this bid must go through the buyer contact This section is intended for the contractor's general information only and is not intended to be a complete list of work intended for this project. The scope of work is indicated on the drawings and by the requirements of each section. Main Roof Existing Roof Construction Deck: Concrete Insulation: 2 layers of polyiso. insulation with perlite insulation on top Membrane: 2 ply modified bitumen adhered in adhesive Surfacing: Granular Slope: 1/8" per foot from sides to roof drains in middle of roof. Demolition and Roof Preparation Remove existing modified bitumen roof and insulation down to the concrete deck. Remove dust, dirt, and debris from roof surface. Remove all base flashing from walls and curbs Remove existing sheet metal items including flashing, pitch pans, sleeves and jacks. Metal wall counter flashing and existing metal edge are not to be removed. Replace any rotten or deteriorated wood nailers as necessary on a unit cost basis. Remove any abandoned equipment or penetrations. School to furnish electrical contractor technician to disconnect and reconnect conduct lines to enable install new flashings. Question Deadline 05/07/2024 No oral interpretations will be made to bidders as to the requirements of the Bidding Documents. Requests for interpretation of the Bidding Documents shall be made in writing to the Design Professional and the Contracting Officer not later than six (6) business days prior to the date set for receipt of bids. All interpretations made to bidders will be issued in the form of addenda to the Bidding Documents and will be posted to the e-Builder web site.
