Bid security in the form of a bid bond, certified check or cash in an amount equal to 10 percent of the base bid amount shall be submitted with the bid. Should a bid bond be submitted, the bid bond shall be payable to North Palos School District 117. The successful bidder will be required to furnish insurance equal to or greater than the specified amounts and conditions. The cost of the insurance will be included in each bidder's proposal. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and payment bond to the owner AND IHC Construction Companies, LLCequal to 100% of the proposal amount. The cost of the performance and payment bond will be included in each bidder's proposal. The Board of Education of North Palos School District 117 reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof, or waive any irregularities or informalities, and to make the award in the best interest of the School District. All bidders must comply with applicable Illinois Law requiring the payment of prevailing wages by all Contractors working on public projects. Bidders must comply with the Illinois Statutory Requirements regarding labor, including Equal Employment Opportunity Laws.
