This initiative aims to replace approximately one million square feet of non-functional turf (NFT) and replace it with low-water using, California-friendly landscapes. NFT is defined as turf grasses that are not regularly used for human recreation, civic, or community events. Approximately 40 non-residential sites are included in the TTTP such as parks, educational institutions, and government buildings. Most sites are in underrepresented and disadvantaged communities. Scope- IEUA is seeking to pre-qualify landscape contractors for turf removal and California-friendly landscape installations in non-residential sites. Project sites will be awarded through a task order process, where selected contractors from this RFQ will receive "packages" of multiple properties to bid on. Each task order will include property-specific information such as location, square footage to be replaced, requested percentage of high-impact (denser, larger plants) versus lower-impact landscaping, and general guidelines for acceptable high-efficiency irrigation and climate appropriate plantings. Contractors will submit bids for the Scope of Work outlined below for each "package" of project sites. Sites may be grouped by municipality, region or other characteristics. Contractors may bid on multiple project "packages." Task orders will be awarded based on the best value in terms of cost, quality, and readiness to proceed. As a grant-funded program, all contractors must adhere to prevailing wage requirement
