The SGSMA must, in particular, ensure that the infrastructures present on these mining sites do not cause risks to the safety of the population and the environment. The SGSMA requires the services of a service provider to carry out a stability assessment of the dikes at the former Mines Madeleine mining site, located in Gaspésie. The objective of this study is to verify whether the dams respect the applicable safety factors and, if this is not the case, determine the corrective work to be carried out in order to ensure the physical integrity of the dams. The service provider must carry out all the field work and analyzes necessary to carry out this mandate.
