Widening of Highway 7 to 4 lanes from Reesor Rd in Markham to Brock Rd in Pickering (10.4 km in length). The Highway 7 expansion project will also include improvements to local intersections and the expansion of the Little Rouge Creek bridge in Markham. Project Number: GWP 2024-E-0023. TIMELINE: An EOI/RFP for an Environmental Assessment & Preliminary Design has been awarded. Work is underway. Updates may be available spring 2026. *The Provincial Government has announced $12 million in support of the widening of Highway 7 from the City of Markham to the City of Pickering. The government’s investment will be used to support the preliminary design and environmental assessment work. *Estimated Cost Range $25 to $100 million
