**As of June 10, 2024 project was awarded to George Reed, awarded amount is 6,623,539.60.** The Base Bid for the project includes reconstruction of Fruitland Avenue from the intersection of Orchard Park Avenue to Winton Way, and Winton Way to approximately 140 east of the intersection of Capitola Avenue (approximately 7,160 lf, total). The Additive Alternate #1 for the project includes reconstruction of Fruitland Avenue from approximately 140' east of the intersection of Capitola Avenue, to the intersection of Shaffer Road (approximately 1,360 lf, total). Refer to the plans for the limits of the Base Bid and Additive Alternate #1 work. The City reserves the right to reject any BID if it is determined you are unqualified to carry out the obligations of the Agreement and to complete the work The general prevailing wage rates determined by the Director of Industrial Relations, for the county or counties in which the work is to be done, are available at the California Department of Industrial Relations' Internet Web Site at: http://www.dir.ca.gov/DLSR/PWD. These wage rates are not included in the Bid Book for the project. Changes in general prevailing wage determinations apply to the Contract when the Director of Industrial Relations has issued them at least 10 days before advertisement "Liquidated damages for all work are one-thousand dollars ($1000) per day." Bids must be on a unit price basis. All bids are to be compared on the basis of the CITY OF ATWATER'S estimated quantities of work to be done The estimated cost of construction is $7,179,370. (includes Additive Alternate 1) Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bidder's bond made payable to the CITY OF ATWATER for an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the amount of bid, such guaranty to be forfeited should the bidder to whom the contract is awarded fail to enter into the contract. Complete all work identified in the Base Bid with 90 working days. In addition, the portion of the work between Orchard Park Avenue and Winton Way shall be substantially complete by August 2nd, 2024.
