Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Galena, Illinois. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; for paving for a municipal facility; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
As of September 24, 2025, this Project has been abandoned. Galena Welcome Center Renovation, including: Sitework, paving, curb & gutter, striping, sidewalks; Building Selective Demolition; wood framed and gypsum board walls, plumbing fixtures, toilet and urinal stalls, toilet accessories, Light fixtures. Exterior renovation: brick infill at windows with wood framing and wall insulation. Bids will be on a total sum basis; segregated bids are not acceptable. Contractors for work under this Bid will obligate Contractor and subcontractors not to discriminate in employment practices. All bids must be accompanied by a bank draft, cashier's check, certified check, or bid bond payable to the City of Galena for 10 percent of the total amount of the bid. All work done under this contract is subject to all requirements of the Department of Labor, State of Illinois, and must pay the prevailing wage rate as determined by the Department of Labor and the Owner. Contractors must comply with the Drug Free Workplace Act (Source: P.A. 86-1459). This invitation is given and published pursuant to authorization and direction of the City of Galena. The City of Galena reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding.
