Window Replacement o Contractor will field measure approximately seventy-seven (77) existing windows at building site location. Contractor will remove all broken and deteriorated windows and dispose of them legally off site. o Windows in the main bathroom area on the 2nd floor are fixed in place and do not open. o Contractor will purchase and install new welded frame vinyl replacement 1 over 1 window to match same type and style that currently exists. All vinyl windows shall have low-e argon gas as part of the windows energy efficiency. All windows will be installed plumb and level. All windows will be purchased with night latches. o Windows will need to be shimmed plumb and level as part of the installation. All windows will be filled with batt or foam insulation to fill any voids or air pockets when installing new windows. o Before windows are inserted into place all exterior window stops will be scrape to free any loose debris. Contractor will caulk the complete window stop with a fat bead of caulk and new windows will be pushed against exterior stop to make a weather tight seal if applicable. o If interior or exterior window trim, sheetrock, seals, or stops are damaged, contractor will purchase and install new window stops, seals, sheetrock or trim to match existing. Contractor will repair, patch and paint to match existing window trim. o All interior stops will be reinstalled, if not damaged. All stops will be pneumatically nailed and caulked where the windows meet the stop and the beginning of the window stops Contractor will then caulk the exterior stop and finish smooth with finger to all exterior caulking/windows that's adjacent to all windows for a total of Four (4) separate caulking. Windows will be aesthetically finished. o Paint with one coat of primer and one coat of finish. Contractor will repair aluminum coil over existing exterior window trim if damage as part of the installation if applicable.
