The project is expected to be awarded on May 14. 2024** Barry Intermediate School District (BISD) is seeking bids for proposals from qualified contractors to replace Rooftop Packaged Units 4 and 5. The project involves the removal and installation of new rooftop packaged units to enhance the HVAC system efficiency and performance. Specifications are to be considered as minimums, and the general conditions, as listed, must be adhered to.
Should the ISD be closed for any reason, bids will be due the next business day the ISD is open. The time bids are due will remain the same time specified herein.
Questions regarding the specifics of the bid should be directed to Amber Holland at aholland@barryisd.org via SigmaVSS, and answers will be responded to through the same means. Any questions submitted after 2:30pm on April 30th will not be answered. It is the intention to award the bid once the Barry ISD Board approves the recommendation of award at the May 14, 2024 Board Meeting. Delivery and installation may take place immediately after board approval. In compliance with MCL 380.1267, all bids shall be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship that exists between the owner and any employee of the bidder and any member of the board, or the superintendent of the school district. All bids shall also be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing whether the bidder is an Iran Linked Business in compliance with PA 517 of 2012. The Board has stated that Barry ISD shall not accept a bid that does not include these sworn and notarized disclosure statements. Barry ISD reserves the right to allow only Michigan Based Businesses to bid on this advertisement. Under 1984 PA 431, MCL 18.1268, our board has elected to enforce the PA as defined.
