Bituminous Mixture RIGHT TO REJECT In its sole discretion, the Barry County Road Commission reserves the right to waive any irregularities in any bids, to reject any or all bids, and to accept bids other than the lowest responsible bid. No bid may be withdrawn after the schedule closing time for receiving bids and for a period of 90 days thereafter. Where laboratory tests indicate that the bitumen content is outside of the tolerances as shown in Table 504-2 of the Michigan Department of Transportation 2020 Standard Specifications for Construction, a cost reduction penalty will be imposed in the amount of $3.00 per ton per each 0.1% over or below the tolerance allowed. LOCATION OF WORK Because of the widespread location of the various projects, the County may award part of this work to different suppliers. If this will influence your bid, please specify this under remarks.
