Site work for a water / sewer project in Herndon, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
**As of June 11, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** Sealed bids are hereby solicited for construction of Dranesville Road Water Main Replacement located in Herndon, Virginia. Replacement of approximately 1,100-feet of aging watermain with new 8-inch diameter ductile iron water main, and associate valves, fire hydrants, fire hydrant connections to water mains, and connections to the existing water system. Dranesville Road from Park Ave to Fillmore Street will be restored. Adjoining pedestrian ramps will be updated to meet ADA compliance. This is a lump sum contract. Contract length is 120 calendar days to date of Substantial Completion. All questions concerning the project shall be submitted in writing or by email to the attention of the Senior Civil Engineer of Public Works at publicworks@herndon-va.gov . This office is the only point where information will be disseminated. All questions must be submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 02, 2024. Bid Security must accompany each proposal in accordance with Instruction to Bidders. Bids shall be binding for sixty (60) days. The Town of Herndon reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities and irregularities in bidding, and to accept bids which are considered to be in the best interest of the town. No Plan Holders List maintained.
