Update: This project provides design and construction for renovations to the Civic Center Building located directly on the beach. This scope of work includes new outdoor decking, facia, soffit, gutter replacement, siding repairs, fire suppression upgrades, interior steel reinforcing rod replacement, interior column/header/flooring repairs, large fan replacement, restroom upgrades, miscellaneous plumbing repairs, and structural exterior column repairs to the existing building. The Civic Center is an aging building constructed in 1925 that is used by the Town for daily rentals. In addition to aging, the harsh marine environment and storms have led to a condition that requires maintenance and renovations. After developing a design plan for building maintenance and renovations, the Town will proceed with the construction phase of the project. Proposed funding for FY 2025 to be used for design. The design costs have increased for FY 2025. The costs for construction have been deferred to 2026 to allow the completion of the project design. The FY 2026 costs have been increased to account for full replacement of the decking, piles, and stringers around the structure. As of April 17, 2024, this project is included in the Town of Jupiter's Fiscal Year 2024-2028 CIP and funding is allotted for construction in FY 2026. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
