The nature and scope of this project is: The nature and scope of the work is to perform water distribution system valve and hydrant maintenance on a regular basis within the Town of Jupiter water service area. The scope of work assigned under this unit price contract may include, but is not limited to, the following types of tasks: exercising water main valves, inspecting and maintaining hydrants, fire flow testing hydrants, and painting hydrants. The work is to be performed in accordance with the latest edition of AWWA ManualsM17 and M44 that describe procedures for valve and hydrant inspection, maintenance, testing, and reporting. All questions concerning the bid shall be directed to Jonathan A. Batista, P.E. in writing by email(jonathanb@jupiter.fl.us). Questions delivered by email should contain the name of the Project/Bid in the subject heading of the email and be sent with a read. Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid must accompany each bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The Town of Jupiter reserves the right to waive any irregularities and to reject any, and all bids. The Town of Jupiter is an equal opportunity employer.
