The project is located within the easements of SIRWCD. The work of this project includes but is not limited to: The Asphalt Overlay of 2.45 miles of SIRWCD roadways. Bid proposals must be accompanied by a bid security in the form of a certified bond check made payable to the Owner or a Bid Bond. The amount of the security shall not be less than five percent of the total price indicated in the Bid Proposal Form. The Bid proposal will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of ninety days after submission. The successful Bidder, who is awarded the Contract, shall be required to furnish a 100% Construction Performance Bond and a 100% Construction Payment Bond pursuant to Section 255.05 F.S. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids, with or without cause, to waive irregularities, variances, deviations, technical errors and informalities to the extent permitted by law or accept the Bid which in its judgement best serves the public interest. The project includes: A 1-1/2 inch Superpave asphalt concrete (SP 9.5 Traffic Level C) overlay of existing 20 foot wide paved roads and will include milling of existing asphalt pavement only at asphalt/concrete driveways, and areas requiring repairs. A 2% cross slope on finished asphalt. Contractor will be responsible for Maintenance of Traffic in accordance with FDOT Section 102. Before paving work begins, SIRWCD will clean the edge of the roads by taking a grader and scraping grass off. Quality control Asphalt Testing at the Plant. All materials and the installation thereof which are furnished and installed by the Contractor, under the terms of the Agreement, shall be guaranteed by the Contractor against defective workmanship, physical defects and of the damages and failure under normal operation for a period of one (1) year from the date of final payment, said date to constitute the commencement of the one (1) year warranty period. All materials and installations proving to be defective within the specified period of the guarantee shall be replaced, without cost to the Owner, by the Contractor. The period of guarantee of each such replacement shall be one (1) year from and after the date of installation thereof. Contractor to broom edge of pavement. Contractor to install pavement markings including stop bars to match existing. It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to repair, rebuild or restore to its former condition, any and all portions of existing utilities, structures, equipment and appurtenances which may be disturbed or damaged due to this construction operation, at no cost to the Owner. Upon completion of the Work but before final payment will be made, the Contractor shall clear and remove from the project area, all equipment, surplus and discarded materials, rubbish and debris which result from the Work under this Agreement, and shall restore in an acceptable manner all property which has been damaged during the prosecution of the Work. Work of this proposed Contract comprises the asphalt overlay of approximately 2.45 miles of roadway in South Indian River Water Control District (SIRWCD). B. Location: This project is located on Haynie Lane from 167th Place to Randolph Siding Road, 145th Place North, 64th Way, 65th Way, 66th Trail North, 67th Trail North and 68th Drive North within the jurisdiction of SIRWCD and are located in Palm Beach County, Florida.
