Mobile Bed Absorbers (MBA) Blower Replacements The nature and scope of this project is: Furnish all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to demolish existing and construct new civil, mechanical, structural and electrical improvements to an existing hydrogen sulfide odor control system consisting of Mobile Bed Absorber (MBA) towers, blowers and fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) ductwork and relocation of underground 24-inch transfer water main at the Town of Jupiter Water Treatment Plant. Work includes demolition of existing asphalt and concrete foundations, installation of temporary ductwork supports, and relocation of underground 24-inch DIP transfer water main and valve as required to construct related improvements; demolition, replacement and re-orientation of two (2) blowers with reinforced concrete blower support pads; demolition, modification, and installation of FRP ductwork inclusive of new and existing ductwork supports; relocation of owner-furnished dampers; connection of new blowers to modified FRP ductwork; removal and replacement of electrical conduits and wire for new blowers; furnishing one (1) spare blower; installation of related components and appurtenances as required for maintenance of water treatment plant operations and to provide a complete and operational system as described in the Bid Documents.
