The purpose of this IFB is to enter into a contract with the lowest responsive and responsible bidder to provide: UDOT Region One with pavement marking services. To include UDOT approved pavement markings installed, removed and/or replaced in accordance with UDOT standards when UDOT Maintenance cannot perform this work with their own workforce. It is anticipated that this IFB will result in multiple contract awards (primary, secondary) for UDOT Region 1. Awards will be made based off of the 3 tasks in the items section of the bid. These are the 3 most commonly used tasks. Unit price of the 3 items will be added together and lowest total of all three will be awarded the primary per county. PURPOSE Attachment B Scope ofWork/Specifications Furnish,Install & Removal of Pavement Marking Paint Thisis a five (5) year contract to provideUDOT Region One with a Contractor to furnish and install waterborne acrylic pavement marking paint, pavement messages, and preformed thermoplastic messages. Thesepavementmarkings are appliedto hotmix asphalt or Portland cement concrete pavement as longitudinal and/or transverse markings, contrast lines, and other related markings. Pavement marking grooving andremoval services are alsoneeded for pavementmarkingpaint and thermoplasticmarkings. These serviceswillbe doneonly within the UDOT Region One boundaries (Cache, Rich, Box Elder, Weber, Davis & Morgan Counties). It is anticipated that most, if not all work will be performed during night hours when traffic isat a minimum. Directions will be given to the Contractor by the designated UDOT Representative as to when and where the pavement marking services are to be performed. This contract will provide UDOT Maintenance forces with a tool to haveUDOT approved pavement markings installed, removed and/or replaced in accordance with UDOT standards whenUDOT Maintenance cannot perform this work with their own workforce. This is a multiple award contract (Primary, Secondary) for Region One. End users will select the Primary awarded contractor first unless that contractor cannot respond to the need.
