Site work for a water / sewer project in Douglas, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Scope of Work Includes: Water and Sewer Improvements to serve the Barrington Agri-Business Park. All proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in favor of the City of Douglas in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the lump sum bid for the complete work: such Bid Bond representing that the Bidder, if awarded a Contract, will promptly enter into a Contract and furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bonds as provided by the law and approved by the Attorney for the City of Douglas. Performance Bond shall be equal to 100 Percent (100%) of the contract amount and Payment Bond shall be equal to 100 percent (100%) of the Contract amount. All work on the project must be completed within 270 consecutive calendar days of the date of Notice to Proceed. City of Douglas Required Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (Dbe) Goal is 6.9%. The Owner reserves the right to reject all bids and to waive informalities, and to accept any Bid which in its opinion may be in the best interest of the Owner. The Owner has the right to add or to delete from the Contract once it has been awarded. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the opening of the bids.
