The City of Artesia, California (the City) is seeking a consultant (or team of consultants) to respond to this Request for Proposals to provide design services for its Artesia Botanical Garden Project. The project site is 1.43 acres and contains a variety of plant species, trees and shrubs. The City has been awarded fundsfromthe Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Community Project Funding Grant, the California Natural Resources Agency (CNRA) General Fund Specified Grants and Regional Park and Open Space District (RPOSD) Technical Assistance Program (TAP) for this project. The City desires to retain a firm to provide Professional Landscape Architectural, Architectural, and Engineering Services to develop the Artesia Botanical Garden. The design team shall develop the Plans, Specification, and Cost Estimate (PS&E) Package and will include but not limited to the following: o Landscape Architecture and Development o Elements per the current concept plan o Specialty gardens; i.e. ladybug and butterfly garden o Trees, turf, and low water use landscape (Xeriscope) o Efficient irrigation system o Cinderblock perimeter fencing throughout property between adjoining residential properties o Wrought iron security fencing along 178th with gates at the entry ways o Site and ancillary lightings o Ornamental trees and landscaping o Signage.
