Reference Number 0000349545 The Village of Ortonville (hereafter Village) is accepting proposals from qualified firms for the purpose of providing updates to the Sherman Park Concession Stand as outlined within the Request for Proposal. Bid Intent Optional Bid Intent Deadline 05/06/2024 05:00 PM EDT. Question Deadline 04/30/2024 at 5:00 PM ET All questions should be submitted via e-mail to villagemanager@ortonvillevillage.com. This project will utilize funding from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (MDNR), and all aspects of the project must comply with standards and requirements of the funding. The Village will ensure standards are met. The Village of Ortonville will not be responsible for expenses incurred in preparing and submitting the proposal. Such costs should not be included in the proposal. The Village was incorporated in 1848 and operates under the General Law Village form of government. Representatives include a Village President and six Trustees who are elected at-large. The Village Council hires a Village Manager to conduct day-to-day business. Policies are developed by the Village Council and executed by the Village Manager . The Village Manager is responsible for hiring all qualified municipal staff; clerk, treasurer and DPW crew. The Village also has a Downtown Development Authority (DDA) Director with a board of nine and a very active volunteer base in the community. The DDA has received the National Main Street Accreditation award for 17 years in a row.
