The City of Groton, Parks & Recreation Department is requesting Basketball Court Revitalization of 2 Basketball courts located at Washington Park, 155 Meridian Street, Groton, Connecticut. o Remove and replace +/- 10,400 SF court o Remove existing basketball hoops o Reclaim existing basketball court o Stake and engineer new grades (ensuring proper water runoff) o Fine grade and compact for pavement o Supply and install 2 inch binder course using class 1 bituminous concrete o Supply and install 2 inch top course using class 2 bituminous concrete o Supply and install 4 Jaypro Titan Flex Rim Goal basketball hoops (72" x 42" Acrylic backboard) Item#770-AC-FR o Acrylic color coatings and logos (see attached diagram) o Supply and install 1 coat of acrylic resurfacer with sand o Supply and install 2 coats of Latexite acrylic recreation paint within the 4 threepoint circles with sand (Beige, Tournament Blue/Orange) (see attached diagram) o Supply and install 2 WNBA regulation basketball court lines using high pigmented white line paint o Supply and install custom logos CT Sun (2) center court, Build Submarines (4) in free throw circles, City of Groton (2) on sideline aprons, and General Dynamics (4) on backboard extension arm A BID BOND will not be required. A PERFORMANCE BOND in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the CONTRACT price recorded in the proposal form of the CONTRACT as executed and a PAYMENT BOND in like amount, will be required from the successful BIDDER for the City of Groton and executed by a surety company authorized to transact business in the State of Connecticut, and accompanied by power of attorney for the type of bond submitted. The City of Groton reserves the right to accept any quotation or to reject any bid or any part of any bid should it deem it to be in its own best interest to do so.
