Project involves pulverizing, shaping, and asphalt paving on Apache Pass, Burnell Drive, Country Club Court, Brookhill Drive, Brookhill Court, Clover Knoll Drive, Velma Court, Rickert Drive, Meadowview Drive, Black Oak Lane, Oak View Drive, Burtsway Drive, Amy James Drive, Woodmere Trace, Chestnut Trail, Townline Road, Crestview Drive, Oak Park Drive, Salter Drive, Broadway Frontage Road North, Anitol Street and full depth pavement patching on Big Bend Road. All Work is included in a single prime contract. Bidding Documents, including Drawings and Specifications, may be examined at the offices of the Village of Waukesha and the Consulting Engineer during regular business hours. Construction time is of the essence. Completion delays are subject to liquidated damages. The Village of Waukesha reserves the right to accept the most advantageous Bid, or to reject any and all Bids. Award of Work described herein is subject to the provisions of the Wisconsin Statutes. A Bidder's qualification statement must be delivered to the Village of Waukesha at least 5 days before the Bid opening date. Bids shall be accompanied by a Bond or Certified Check payable to the Village of Waukesha equal to 5 percent of the Bid. If the successful Bidder fails to execute the Contract and furnish payment and performance bonds within 15 days after the award, the Check or Bid Bond may be forfeited to the Village of Waukesha as liquidated damages. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all Plan Holder's of Record. Questions received from Bidders that do not, in Engineer's opinion, allow sufficient time to respond prior to the date for opening of Bids will not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect.
