Brief description of project: Contractor to supply all materials, labor, and equipment to install 8,392 linear feet of multi-duct construction by means of horizontal directional drilling. Most of the multi-duct construction will contain 2 each - 1 1/4 " Fiber Innerducts, some contain 1 or 2 - 2" duct, and one contains 2 - 2" and 1 - 6" (approximately 16,600 LF of individual duct), with all appurtenances, for the Utilities Department as noted on the project plans and specifications. This project will connect seven municipal wells (8, 23, 25, 28, 29, 34 and 35), the Solar Field, Park Lane Drive Lift Station and the Airport Terminal utilizing some existing duct and some existing duct bank. Most new runs will consist of 2 - 1 1/4 " HDPE SDR 13.5 ducts (1-orange, 1-orange with black stripe, 1-12 gauge CCS EHS tracer wire, bored in at 4'+ deep and precast concrete vaults. Locations and materials are described more specifically on Drawing F-006. No bid shall be withdrawn after opening of bids without the consent of the City of Hastings, Nebraska, for a period of sixty (60) days after scheduled time of closing bids. Time is of the essence in this contract. In evaluating bid(s) received, the City will consider the timelines of completion of prior construction contracts, existing workload of bidders and available manpower that bidder commits to the project.
