As of July 29, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established. The Elm Fork Water Treatment Plant, located at 1440 Whitlock Lane Carrollton, Texas, owned by the City of Dallas and is operated by Dallas Water Utilities (DWU). It is a conventional surface water treatment plant that draws surface water from the Elm Fork of the Trinity River and is rated to treat 330 million gallons per day (MGD). This RFP includes work to complete the Filter Complex, construction of new Rapid Mix and flow split facilities; seven (7) Flocculation/Sedimentation Basins containing plate settlers; infrastructure to connect these facilities to the existing facilities; a Pre-Sedimentation facility; a new raw water intake; a plant-wide power study; Main Power Distribution Switchgear Building; improvements to various chemical facilities; improvements to the residuals handling facilities; a new maintenance building; and demolition and decommissioning of existing facilities (Pump Station No. 1, Sedimentation Basin Nos. 1-3, and Filter Complex). Question Deadline 05/15/2024 at 12:00 PM CT DWU is anticipating that the work will be executed through a total of five (5) GMP Improvement Components, and a CMAR is being sought to collaboratively deliver the Work with the Engineer and DWU's fiscal constraints.
