Running for roughly 50 km along spectacular, rugged Cape Breton coastline, once completed the Seawall Trail will be the only multi-day coastal hike of its kind along the Eastern Seaboard of North America. The Seawall Trail will be located primarily in the Cove-Aspy Fault Wilderness Area of Pollet Creek, which boasts unique and impressive attributes for outdoor recreation. Canyons that transect the coastal mountains create exceptional topographic and ecological diversity. TIMELINE: A Request For Proposals has been issued by the owner. The Municipality of the County of Inverness is accepting proposals for Standing Offer Consultants to lead the Jajiktek Seawall Trail Project community engagement with various involved communities. The term of project engagement will be from pre-construction throughout construction and completing at project closeout/handover, anticipated to be June 2026.
