Description

Site work and paving for a road / highway in Franklin, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

The contract for the same will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder taking into consideration quality, performance, and the time specified in the proposal for the performance of the contract. Not withstanding the foregoing, Macon County reserves the right to reject any or all bids. All Bidders shall seal the envelopes containing proposals and mark upon the outside the following: Macon County Greenway Paving Project . The name and address of the bidder must be plainly marked on the outside of each envelope. Minority businesses, women's businesses and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to submit bids. Scope of Work 1. The sections are in pave ready condition but some sections will require base preparation such as gravel, grading and compacting. 2. Final height of new paving shall be 2½ inches and final height of resurfacing sections shall be 1½ inches.
