Each proposal over $ 25,000.00 shall be accompanied by bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of each proposal submitted. Acceptable bid security shall be fully executed bid bond (AIA A310) or certified check made payable to the Laurel County Board of Education. In the event the Bidder to whom contract is awarded fails to execute a Contract along with satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond he shall be eliminated and shall forfeit his bid security to the Owner as recompense for such failure. Proposal Forms must be properly completed. Only one (1) copy of each Form of Proposal including all supplemental forms is required. No modification, qualification letters or statements will be considered. Such shall be cause for rejection of bid. Project Description: Project Release #2 for the South Laurel High School includes the site demolition and new site work package; the structural concrete foundations and floor slabs for the Pre-Engineered Metal Building (PEMB) not provided in Bid Release #1; the free-standing column supported and wall hung exterior canopies; the exterior masonry cavity walls along the building perimeter that were not part of the PEMB package included in Bid Release #1; exterior and interior windows; and the interior CMU partition walls, ceilings, room finishes, building signage, and gymnasium equipment packages for the Auxiliary Gymnasium spaces includingthe combination multi-court basketball and multi-court volleyball courts, multi-use indoor synthetic turf practice field and weight training area, athletic training room, coach's office, locker rooms, facility restroom area and common support spaces.
