Award amount is $4,183,702.08** All prospective bidders must submit a completed Bidders Qualification Statement which must be submitted in triplicate, in sealed envelopes separate from the bid, endorsed Resurfacing Program 2022 Jersey City. North Bergen, Secaucus, Union City, Weehawken & West New York File #3403 and delivered by hand or mail as further described in the specifications. The qualification of prospective bidders will be evaluated by representatives of the County of Hudson, Office of the County Engineer, and Department of Roads and Public Property in accordance with the Evaluation Criteria set for therein. Only prospective bidders whose Bidders' Qualification Statements are determined acceptable will be identified as Qualified Bidders and have their bids reviewed. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes, separate from the Bidders' Qualification Statement, endorsed "Resurfacing Program 2022 Jersey City. North Bergen. Secaucus. Union City. Weehawken & West New York File #3403 and delivered by hand or mail as further described in the specifications. All bids received, will be unsealed at the designated time and place, the contents thereof will be publicly announced and the prices and terms will be recorded. While prices and terms will be publicly announced and recorded, only those bidders identified as Qualified Bidders will have their bids reviewed by the County. Each bid must be accompanied by (a) a cashiers check, certified check or bid bond payable to the County of Hudson in the sum equal to ten percent of the bid, but in no case to exceed $20,000.00; (b) a certificate from a surety company authorized to do business in New Jersey, rated A or better by A.M. Best, that such company will provide the bidder with a Performance Bond or Bonds called for in the specifications; and, (c) statement of ownership disclosure form; (d) a list of subcontractors; and, (e) bid forms with acknowledgement of receipt of Addenda. Hudson County reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any defect in the bids or bid proposals as permitted by law. The acceptance of any bid by the County is contingent upon the Director of Finance & Ammonization's certification that the funds are available. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
