Toilet Partition Replacement at Wilson Middle School - Avail. The Request for Responses ("RFR") may be obtained by emailing bleblanc@natickma.org between 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. local time, Monday through Thursday, and between 8:00 A.M. and 12:00 P.M. (noon) local time, Friday, beginning on April 24, 2024. The Town reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any, any part of, or all Responses in the best interest of the Town. Scope- There are eight (8) boys'/girls' toilet rooms at Wilson Middle School. The toilet compartments and urinal screens are original to the building which was constructed in 2003. The Town solicits written Responses from qualified firms or individuals for the replacement ofmetal partitions with phenolic partitions in four (4) ofthe eight (8) toilet rooms. The work is to be done Summer 2024, i.e., to be completed before the start ofschool in Fall 2024. The intent is for the new overhead braced phenolic toilet compartments and urinal dividers to dimensionally match the existing overhead braced metal toilet compartments and urinal dividers. The Successful Vendor shall comply with M.G.L. 521 CMR Architectural Access Board Rules and Regulations The four (4) toilet rooms within the Scope ofWork are as follows. Second floor boys' toilet room in "8th grade corridor" Remove and dispose of existing partitions, pilasters, doors, urinal screens, associated hardware, and feminine product dispensers off-site in accordance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations. Contractor is to provide dumpster ifdumpster is needed.Furnish and install new floor anchored overhead braced phenolic toilet partitions, pilasters, doors, urinal screens, associated hardware, and feminine product dispensers. Urinal screens to match toilet partition design and finish. 4. Reinstall toilet paper dispensers, mounted back to back. Prior to installation, contact Natick Facilities Project Manager for location confirmationsComply with manufacturer's recommended procedures and installation sequence. Install pilasters, partitions, door, and urinal screens rigid, straight, plumb and level. Align brackets at pilasters with brackets at walls. Set pilasters with anchors penetrating not less than one-andthree-quarter (1-3/4) inches into floor unless otherwise indicated in manufacturer's written instructions. Secure continuous head rail to each pilaster with no fewer than two (2) fasteners. Hang door and adjust so tops of doors are level with tops ofpilasters when doors are in closed position. Secure units in position with manufacturer's recommended anchoring devices. 7. Adjust and lubricate hardware in accordance with hardware manufacturer's instructions for proper operation. Set hinges on in-swinging doors to hold doors open approximately thirty (30) degrees from closed position when unlatched. Set hinges on out-swinging doors to return doors to fully closed position. 6. Ensure that all holes in partitions and doors, for attachment ofrelated items, are accurately located and drilled. Conceal all evidence of drilling, cutting, and fitting in the finished work. Conceal floor fastening with pilaster shoes.
