New construction of a bridge / tunnel in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. Completed plans call for the construction of a bridge / tunnel.
Bridge Shop Drawings: The Lump Sum bid for this item shall include all engineering, labor, equipment and material necessary to provide Shop Drawings for the proposed bridge structure. Shop Drawings and Calculations shall be stamped by a Professional Engineer licensed in the Province of Ontario and submitted electronically to the Owner for review. Payment for this item will be due upon receipt of the shop drawings. Bridge Design Criteria: Overall Length: 40 metres (out to out dimension) Width: 2.5 metres (clear between rails) Camber: 750mm Handrail & Guards: Per OBC Design Code: OBC Design Loading: 4.8 kPa Live Load, Wind & Snow Load per OBC, Small Utility Vehicle + Operator Weight of 1050 kg (John Deere Gator XUV) Material: Weathering Steel or Aluminum Material Preparation: SSPC - SP1 Wearing surface: Treated Cedar, Treated Hemlock or Composite Max Weight: 60,000 lbs Design Life: 75 years minimum Anchor bolts and bolt holes shall be designed to accommodate expansion and contraction.
