Saving Project...

Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Troy, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The City of Troy intends to construct a single-lane roundabout at the intersection of Adams Street & Riverside-Staunton Road. The City is seeking proposals from qualified firms for design and construction administration consultant services to create a comprehensive design of the roundabout for a safer intersection and improved traffic movement. This project will be utilizing OPWC funding. The City desires to retain a qualified firm(s) for design services to prepare plans, estimates, specifications, and contract documents for this project. Scope of Services This project will provide the Adams Street & Riverside-Staunton Road intersection with a singlelane roundabout to improve access to the area and overall movement through the intersection for all users. Included in this project is the full reconstruction of the intersection to create a roundabout and tapered lane to complete the transition from the existing lane configuration through the intersection. This includes: Using the NCHRP 1043, Guide for Roundabouts 2023, Fastest Path Calculations, Intersection sight line exhibits for both pedestrians and vehicles, Phi-angle exhibits, and truck turning templates to account for semitrailer (WB-62 to WB-67) and buses. Utility replacement, relocation, construction, and coordination will need to be reviewed and considered for the final design ensuring all utilities are constructed and improved as needed. Consideration for all users of the intersection and the facilities of existing sidewalks, bike lanes, shared-use paths, driveways, ADA accessibility, and access to all properties and proximity to Hobart Arena, Riverside Cemetery, and the Troy Junior and High Schools are to be considered in the design. Ancillary items such as lighting, landscaping, and signage A public information meeting to serve as education for city residents, schools, and businesses within the project area will occur during the design of the project. Project coordination will also be required with the property owners and businesses within this project area.
