* As of June 21, 2024 this project has been awrded to A Lamp Concrete Contractors with an amount of $2,434,983.25.** This project generally consists of the reconstruction of Sesame Street from County Line Road to the east end with new Portland cement concrete pavement and the installation of a new 12-inch water main. The project also includes sidewalk installation, driveway removal and replacement, storm sewer improvements, cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining, landscape restoration and all related appurtenances and accessories necessary to complete the work. Completion Date: Nov. 29, 2024 No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of the proposals without the consent of the Village for a period of sixty days after the scheduled time of closing bids. A certified check/bank draft drawn on a solvent bank, payable without condition to the Village of Bensenville, or a bid bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid shall be submitted with each proposal as a guarantee that, if the proposal is accepted, a contract will be entered into and the performance of the contract is properly secured. A Contract Bond, each in a sum equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the bid with sureties to be approved by the Village, must be furnished by the successful bidder. All bids or proposals shall contain an offer to furnish bonds upon acceptance of such bid or proposal. Contractors shall be required to pay not less than the prevailing wage rates on the Project as established by the United States Department of Labor and the State of Illinois Department of Labor for Cook County. Copies of these wage rates are incorporated in the Contract Documents.
