The Contractor shall provide management, supervision, labor, supplies, materials, equipment, and tools required to perform the design, removal, and replacement of the existing internal components of the HVAC Air Handler effectively, efficiently, and satisfactorily. The contractor has limited access to the air handler which is on the second story of the building through a standard three-foot door and up a wood "Ships Ladder" to the equipment. The equipment is supported by the steel beam structure of the roof. The area above the second story ceiling has been covered with a wood deck. The Contractor shall design and install a fan wall that will match the existing specifications of the "Trane Corporation" air handler: Serial Number U85D50479, Unit Type CCDB41QE0D, BASIC UNIT H5A1R11R0AR, FAN MOTOR 25 H.P., 460 VOLTS, 3 PHASE. The contractor shall remove and dispose of the existing shaft and vane assemblies, motor, electrical controls which includes the existing variable frequency drive, and install the new fan wall with individual variable frequency drives for each fan, integrate the new controls to the existing building control system, and patch all sheet metal that the removal of equipment created holes in the existing cabinet. Period of Performance: 06/10/2024 to 07/12/2024 The Contractor shall balance the air flow within the modified air handler to manufacturer specifications. The contractor shall perform heat / cooling load calculations for the entire building and rebalance the complete HVAC system which has the custom-built Trane air handling unit which provided all the condition air to the building through the VAV boxes. (Optional Bid Item). The contractor shall visit the site to development their calculations for the heating and cooling loads and perform a rebalance of the chilled water, heating water, and air side for the HVAC System. The Government has included the previous rebalance calculations with this scope of work as an attachment A. Period of performance changed from 05/20/2024 to 06/28/2024.
