Site work for a detention facility in Aiea, Hawaii. Completed plans call for site work for a detention facility.
The work generally consists of replacement of perimeter security fencing and related improvements at the Halawa Correctional Facility (HCF). Scope of work includes demolition and replacement of existing failing security fence lines behind the prison housing modules and the addition of new security fence lines to demise the existing prison recreation exercise yard. Civil scope of work includes the clearing and grubbing as needed within the vicinity of the proposed new perimeter fencing and appurtenances including weed suppressing ground treatment, concrete foundations, anti-dig barriers and mow-strips. Electrical scope of work includes realignment of existing security electronics infrastructure from base of existing fence line to the new fence line and removal of mise, decommissioned/abandoned in place equipment such as detection sensors, an electrical power pedestal and a wooden outhouse. The construction site is not open to the public. The estimated construction cost is between $5 million and $10 million. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Bidders shall comply with all access requirements of the facility or the User Agency. Bidders and interested parties are required to sign-in at the meetings to confirm attendance. Each Bidder shall bring their own flashlight and small tools that may be required to inspect the premises. Check with Project Coordinator.
