DEC Water Treatment Services. Question Deadline 04/30/2024 at 4:00 PM CT Successful bidder will be required to complete (1) the DEC Standard Servics Contract; and 2) furnish proof of insurance with coverage specified in the Contract by an insurance company licensed to do business in Nebraska and rated at least B+ in A.M. Bests Rating. Certificate must show DEC listed as additional insured for general liability and include waiver of subrogation. PROJECT DESCRIPTION The purpose of this RFP is to select a vendor that can provide a comprehensive, service-oriented water treatment program that best fits the needs of DEC. An agreement will be awarded to the vendor who best satisfies all DEC's water treatment needs, based on the technical content of the proposal and interview performance of vendor's designated local representative, at optimum cost performance. DEC operates and maintains six thermal energy plants. Two of the six plants provide steam; one plant uses firetube, dual fuel boilers and the other uses dual fuel steam generators. The other four plants provide hot water with two of them using condensing, gas-fired hot water boilers while the other two use closed loop ground-coupled heat pump technology. Five plants provide chilled water for cooling; three of these plants use open cooling tower systems, and the other two use closed loop ground-coupled heat pump technology.
