Site work for a water / sewer project in Ames, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Site Directions: The project will include three (3) locations. Location 1 will include work adjacent to the intersection of 210th Street and 500th Avenue near Ames. Location 2 will include work between 190th and 170th Street along Y Avenue near Ames. Location 4 will include work along 180th Street west of P-Avenue near Minburn. Est. Completion Date: April 15, 2025 The project includes pipe abandonment and removal, removal of flushing hydrants, construction of a meter pit, and installation of 3-inch, 6-inch, and 8-inch water main. All pipe material will be PVC unless otherwise noted on the plans. The water main will be constructed by trenched and trenchless methods and includes related work such as connections to existing infrastructure, valves, hydrants, erosion control, surface restoration, and miscellaneous associated work.
