Sealed bids are invited for paving work at Porterfield Park, 240 Montevista Ave., Orange, VA 22960 1. Base contract to include the following work inside the fence line at Porterfield Park: Removal of existing grass, stone, and/or dirt from areas within the fence line, including around the concession stand, behind the grandstand and bleachers, and in front of the rest rooms and shed entrance to enable required base depth and prepare for pavement. Place, compact, and roll 6" depth of 21-A base stone to areas to be paved ~9,800 sq.ft. Furnish and place 2.5-3" depth of SM-9.5A asphalt on aforementioned areas. Compact and roll asphalt to a smooth finish. Clean work site. 2. Add alternate to include the following work outside the fence line at Porterfield Park: Remove old asphalt from the first entrance ~ 35 x 20. Mill and/or remove old asphalt from the second entrance ~ 30 x 56. Excavate ~ 8,500 sq. ft. in front of storage buildings outside the fence. Remove debris, dirt, excess stone (if any), and grass to prepare for base and pavement. Place, compact, and roll 6" depth of 21-A base stone to areas to be paved. Furnish and place 2.5-3" depth of SM-9.5A asphalt on aforementioned areas. Compact and roll asphalt to a smooth finish. Clean work site. Stripe handicapped parking spaces. The latest date for receipt of bidders' questions to be answered prior to receipt of bids will be Close of Business on Monday, May 6, 2024 The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or to waive any informality in the bidding procedures Bidders shall guarantee their bid for 30 days.
