The City is seeking quotes from experienced and qualified carpet installers who can remove and replace the existing carpet located throughout Pontiac's City Hall with commercial-grade carpet Squares. Suppliers are asked to recommend a carpet that can endure high-traffic activity, that is durable and has a minimum useful life of seven years or more. The supplier must provide all the labor, materials, and equipment for a complete and successful carpet removal and installation. The supplier will be expected to do the following: Prepping the various locations for work. The work will ideally be completed after hours (5 pm) during the week and possibly during the weekend. Provide laborers to move office furniture and equipment (i.e., desks, file cabinets, shelving units, and copy machines) for various locations in City Hall that will allow for carpet removal and installation. The laborers must return the equipment and furniture to its initial location. Installing new 24" x 24" commercial grade carpet squares (or an agreed substitution). Properly dispose of the carpet and associated debris after removal and installation. Provide an estimated time for ordering materials and completing the installation. The Carpet color, style, and material will be chosen before installation. The Supplier will provide the City with carpet samples and make recommendations that will best fit the City's needs. 27 rooms at City Hall will require carpet removal and installation.
