The Mayor and Commissioners of Emmitsburg, Maryland are requesting sealed bids from qualified contractors for the construction of approximately 3-miles of multiuse natural surface trails in the Emmitsburg watershed. For this project, the Town is seeking bids to develop a modern sustainable natural surface trail. Work would include redesigning approximately 1.5 miles of the existing red trail and relocation of 1.3 miles of damaged trail. Relocating a section of the trail will add .2 miles of length making the trail 3 miles long. Mini-excavator and any other necessary equipment will be supplied by the vendor. Contractor will furnish all labor, tools, transportation, supplies, items required for safe operations, and supervision to complete, in a substantial and workmanlike manner, to the satisfaction of the owner and/or its representative, the work described herein. All work shall be performed and completed within the standards and requirements of: MPS Trail Spec Matrix - Contractor will build the trail to the More Difficult Specification- See Attachment B.
