Site work for a mixed-use development in National City, California. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility; and playground / park / athletic field.

Prospective bidders are required to be pre-qualified for projects in excess of one million dollars ($1,000,000) in estimated value using any funds received pursuant to the Leroy F. Greene School Facilities Act of 1998 or any funds from any state school bond. Additionally, subcontractors in the trades of mechanical, electrical and plumbing are required to be prequalified. Prequalification Applications can be found on the District website Question Deadline 05/03/2024 at 12:00 PM PT Discrepancies in, and/or omissions from the Plans, Specifications or other Contract Documents or questions as to their meaning shall be immediately brought to the attention of the District by submission of a written request for an interpretation or correction to the District no later than 12:00 PM on Friday, May 3, 2024. Such submission, if any, must be sent to the Director of Business Support Services by emailing to jhansen@nsd.us. In contracts involving expenditure in excess of $25,000.00, the successful bidder, shall file a payment bond issued by an admitted Surety approved to conduct business in the State of California (Civil Code Section 9550) approved by the District in the form set forth in the contract documents. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, the non-collusion affidavit, the list of proposed subcontractors, and all additional documentation required in the contract documents. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding. The lowest bid shall be the lowest total of the base bid prices as set forth in the bid form. Pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5, contractors and all subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations in order to bid on or to be listed in a bid proposal or to engage in the performance of any defined public work contract. This Project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. The Director of Industrial Relations has determined the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in which this work is to be performed for each craft or type of worker needed to execute the contract which will be awarded to the successful bidder, copies of which are on file and will be made available to any interested party upon request. It shall be mandatory upon the Contractor to whom the contract is awarded, and upon any subcontractor under him, to pay not less than the said specified rates to all workers employed by them in the execution of the contract, as this is a public works contract. Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor at the time the bid is submitted and throughout the duration of the project pursuant to the Business and Professions Code and shall be licensed in the following classification: A-General Engineering Contractor or B-General Building Contractor No bidder may withdraw his or her or its bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of bids.
