The City of Geneva, NY seeks proposals from qualified firms interested in providing planning services in support of developing a Recreation Complex Master Plan for the existing Geneva Recreation Complex located at 666 S. Exchange St. Geneva, NY 14456. The 28,800 square foot complex currently operates as an indoor ice rink during the fall/winter (September-March) and transitions to and operates as an indoor turf facility during the spring/summer (April-August). The complex sits on 2.7 acres and also includes a separate building used for storage and a workshop, as well as .60 acres of greenspace that is currently utilized as a membership only dog-park that is owned and operated by the City. Background The City of Geneva's Recreation Complex was built in 1978. A major upgrade was completed in 2005 to enclose the facility in glass to provide shelter from the elements. The Geneva Recreation Complex provides seasonal public skating programming, private ice rentals, and is host to the Geneva Generals Youth Hockey Program, Geneva/Waterloo High School Hockey team and two Division III Hockey Programs: Hobart Statesmen and William Smith Herons. In the spring/summer, the complex is used as an indoor turf facility, hosting youth summer recreation, youth and adult box lacrosse and soccer programs, local small community events and is available for private rental. Location: 666 S. Exchange St. Geneva, NY 14456 Question Deadline: 05/08/2024 at 4:00 PM ET, Inquiries pertaining to the Request for Proposal must cite the RFP title and acceptance date and be directed to David West, email dwest@geneva.ny.us. The expectation is that this work can be done for less than $15,000. The final budget and scope of services will be negotiated with the selected firm. Proposed budget itemized by task/deliverables - Note that the City has budgeted between $10K-$15K for this effort, please demonstrate the best use of funds within this range to achieve the stated goals. Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No The City of Geneva reserves the right to reject all or any part of any or all proposals, to waive technical or legal deficiencies, and to accept any proposal that it deems to be in the best interest of City. The awarded vendor at their cost will be required to provide the City with Certificates of Insurance with the City as the Certificate Holder satisfactorily evidencing the required coverage which also provides that prior to policy cancellation, non-renewal or material change, the insurer will give the City 60-days advance written notice. The Certificate must be an original and must be provided five business days before the commencement of any activities related hereto. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
