As of August 19, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established This project includes removal and replacement of existing windows and basement door. A pilot program has been initiated to stabilize the frieze and cornice above the southernmost window on the West Elevation. Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid on the form and subject to the conditions set forth in the instructions to bidders. Upon acceptance of his bid, if the successful bidder fails to enter into a contract pursuant to the requirements of the owner, then the check deposited as aforesaid and the money standing to the credit of the same shall be forfeited to the owner as liquidated damages or the payment of the bound enforced for the benefit of the owner. No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the date set for opening thereof but may withdraw it at any time prior to closing date and time for the receipt of bids. Bidders shall not include sales and compensating use taxes on the cost of materials which are to be incorporated into this project. All work under this contract shall comply with all applicable ordinances, regulations, laws and with all rules of the State of New York Department of Labor. The City reserves the right to waive any informality in, or reject any or all bids, or to make an award to other than the low bidder.
