PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project consists of installing approximately 325 lineal feet of 10" C900 PVC Water main. Contractor shall install one new fire hydrant, two new 1" water services, and one 8" stainless steel tapping tee with gate valve to connect to existing 8" AC water main. Contractor will also connect to existing 10" C900 PVC watermain. City will provide new hydrant, water service saddles, setters, copper pipe and fittings for water services. All bids shall be accompanied by a deposit in the form of a postal money order, cashier's check, or bond in an amount equal to 5 percent of the maximum total amount of the bid. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into a contract or furnish a satisfactory contract bond within the time stated in the specifications, the deposit shall be forfeited to the City. All bidders shall be on the MRSC Small Works Roster prior to bid opening. All bidders shall call 509-764-3786 prior to bid opening to sign up as a bidder on the project, whether or not they request a hard copy or obtain a digital copy of the Specifications. Bids received from bidders who are not on the MRSC Small Works Roster, and bids from bidders who are not signed in as a bidder on the project will be rejected for being non-responsive. The Contractor may request (in writing) that the "Notice to Proceed" be delayed by up to two weeks, but no work can be performed during this time. This request shall be made before the "Notice to Proceed" has been issued.
