Site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a bridge / tunnel in Aurora, Illinois. Conceptual plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for outdoor lighting for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
In coordination with partner organizations, a phased approach to stabilize, paint, and add colored LED lighting at the BNSF trestle bridge. This approach will transform the bridge into a landmark for residents and an attractive gateway into the downtown. The project includes washing and painting all of the columns white under the tracks between New York and Benton Streets; followed by lighting and painting/screening at key intersections beginning with Galena Boulevard, New York Street, Downer Place, Benton Street, and between each intersection. The project is included in the city's 2024-2033 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of October 23, 2024, project is currently funded for FY2024-2033. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
