The Pocahontas County Board of Supervisors, Pocahontas, Iowa, will accept bids for the construction of the new Pocahontas County Law Enforcement Center located at 22 S.E. Court Street, in Pocahontas, Iowa 50574. The new Law Enforcement Center will be built on the County site and will be approximately 18,600 square feet to accommodate Sheriff Administrative Offices, E-911 / Dispatch, Emergency Operations, Jail, and Support areas. The primary components of the building consist of precast panels, masonry block and metal studs. The building will accommodate a 26-bed jail with expansion capability of 24 beds within the existing facility which will be bid as alternates to the project.
