Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Pocahontas, Iowa. Completed plans call for the construction of a 18,600-square-foot fire / police facility; for site work for a fire / police facility; detention facility; and detention facility.

The Pocahontas County Board of Supervisors, Pocahontas, Iowa, will accept bids for the construction of the new Pocahontas County Law Enforcement Center located at 22 S.E. Court Street, in Pocahontas, Iowa 50574. The new Law Enforcement Center will be built on the County site and will be approximately 18,600 square feet to accommodate Sheriff Administrative Offices, E-911 / Dispatch, Emergency Operations, Jail, and Support areas. The primary components of the building consist of precast panels, masonry block and metal studs. The building will accommodate a 26-bed jail with expansion capability of 24 beds within the existing facility which will be bid as alternates to the project. Bids shall be for a single or multiple prime contracts to complete the Work required and described in the Bidding Documents. The successful Bidder will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the Contract Sum. Prime contract bidders may obtain up to three (3) sets of documents; Subcontract bidders may obtain one (1) set of documents. Deposits shall be in the form of a certified, cashier's or company check made payable to Midwest Construction Consultants. MBI Guarantees are acceptable. Deposit shall be refunded upon the return of documents in good condition within thirty (30) days following receipt of Bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waive all informalities in Bids. No Bid may be withdrawn after the Bid deadline for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the specified time for receipt of Bids.
