This budget item provides for a segment in a phased multiple-year approach to completing the sidewalk/multi-use trail adjacent to Parker Road (State Highway 83). Purpose/Discussion Numerous gaps exist in the sidewalk/multi-use trail adjacent to Parker Road. It has been a goal of Town Council for over 20 years to complete this needed multimodal infrastructure for both pedestrians and bicycles. The next stretch that is being targeted for construction in 2025 is on the east side of Parker Road south of the Pine Drive/Indian Pipe Lane intersection to the Reata Ridge development (north of Stroh Road). Two segments/gaps exist in this stretch of Parker Road totaling over 3,700 linear feet of sidewalk/multi-use trail needing to be completed. The northern segment is adjacent to a Town open space parcel at the southeast corner of Parker Road/Pine Drive and the southern segment is adjacent to the Robinson Ranch residential development. As of May 2, 2025, this project is included in the Town of Parker's Fiscal Year 2025-2034 CIP. Further information regarding a design firm and timeline for construction has not yet been established. Funding is allotted for FY 2025. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
